Let’s talk wardrobe for your family beach photo session—because I get it, the struggle is real when it comes to finding the perfect outfits for everyone (from toddlers to adults).
You want your photos to look put together but not over the top, right? Here are some tips to help you keep things simple, stress-free, and beach-ready!
1. Coordinate, Don’t Match
When you’re planning outfits for the fam, think coordinating colors, not identical ones. Choose a color palette with two or three tones that work well together. The beach is a natural backdrop, so colors that vibe with sand, sea, and sky are always winners. Think soft pastels, whites, and blues, or go earthy with muted greens and khakis.
Do:
Pick complementary colors across everyone’s outfits.
Use a mix of solids and subtle patterns. A light floral dress or a checked shirt can add a nice pop without overwhelming the vibe.

🌿 Bluebells - did you know? 🌿
When you go visit please remember not to stand on the flowers. It takes them 4 years to recover. As a protected species, it's also illegal to pick them.
Enjoy the beauty, take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints (not on the flowers mind!).
"It is important to avoid accidently damaging the plants with your camera equipment, or your feet. When plants are trampled, not only does this reduce the enjoyment of others, also the bluebell bulbs can’t produce enough energy to survive and to flower the following year, so they die. We recently visited the woods and strategically stood around the bluebells and explained to my sons that they are a protected flower and why its so important to protect nature 🌿

My first Cold water dip !!
So yesterday I did a 'first'
My first cold water swimming session at Eastney Beach Portsmouth.
My friend captured the image below ( I now must invest in a mobile phone water protected case !! )
It was totally exhilarating and I loved how it made me feel particularly after a very tough week.

So yesterday was absolutely beautiful at the Lavender Farm.

My main job is being a Mother to five beautiful boys, who support me so much and also my children's dad who does a lot of the behind scene things ( but they don't like to have their photographs shared to the world and I have to understand and respect that!! )

There is a glimmer of sunshine here today after yesterday's deluge so today's #ThankfulThursday will get us into the holiday spirit!

Sophia love most types of photography genres but her favourite genre is child and family portraits as she loves to see people 'smile through their eyes'.

She tells us 'Whatever their life limiting illness might be, capturing the light in their little eyes truly makes me so happy !!'
